Zeropunkt Live at Think Punk — Two Sets, 30 May 2026
Dublin's underground improv four-piece Zeropunkt land at ThinkPunk Studios for two consecutive sets on Saturday 30 May — dark, freeform neopsychedelia, no setlist, no plan. Sets at 15:00 and 18:00. All ages. €10 + fees.
No setlist. No rehearsed material. Four musicians, a room, and whatever happens.
Zeropunkt land at ThinkPunk Studios on Saturday 30 May for two back-to-back sets of dark, freeform neopsychedelic improvisation — or spontaneous composition, as the band themselves prefer to call it. This is the kind of gig the building was made for: a small room, a serious quartet, and absolutely no idea what's about to happen.
Who's playing
Zeropunkt is a Dublin-based four-piece working in the open territory between free jazz, post-punk and deep psych:
- Fergus Cullen — saxes, keys, guitar, vocals, electronics
- Jamie Davis — drums, percussion, sax
- Damien Lennon — bass, bass VI, effects
- Hugh O'Neill — trumpet, electronics
They started in 2013 as ¡NO! and have been operating under both names since. Over the years they've played and recorded with a who's-who of underground heavyweights — Glenn Branca, Damo Suzuki, Kawabata Makoto, Itaru Oki, Alfred Harth — and put out fifteen albums across both monikers. Their sixteenth, Starry Dynamo in the Machinery of Night, arrives on CD on 18 May via Last Of Our Kind, which makes this a release-week show.
The touchstones they cite — Keiji Haino, Can, Cluster, The Residents, Miles — give you a sense of the terrain, but Zeropunkt aren't a band in love with their own influences. Every set unmoors itself within minutes and goes wherever it wants to go. The Irish Times has called them "the most enigmatic and uncompromising trio on the free Irish scene". We're not going to argue.
Why two shows
Because no two Zeropunkt sets are the same — that's the whole proposition. The 15:00 show and the 18:00 show will be two different pieces of music in two different rooms-with-the-same-walls. Tickets are sold per set, so if you want to catch both, grab both. Plenty of people will.
- Set 1 — 15:00 (doors 14:45)

- Venue — ThinkPunk Studios, Dublin 8
- All ages

South Dublin Live at ThinkPunk
What a night! Definitely a strong contender to the title of the most epic night at ThinkPunk Studios to date. We’re delighted to see on stage our own members with the project that was born in this very studio, rocking it!
Last Saturday, the 24th of June featured our final instance of BlueBellBeats Series where our community puts on live shows, featuring up and coming artists, giving the stage to members and friends as well as inviting guests to perform and immerse into the unique atmosphere. Our broad community is 200+ people strong and it was great to see so many cheering at Zibbster & Aerte (both on vocals) + Serenity in Chaos (Przemek on bass, Onofrio on guitar, Józef on drums), followed up by the After Party with DJ Other Angle, DJ Froydovsky, DJ FizzyWaters and DJ Marcelo Doval.

There are those nights one will remember for a long long time. Our final gig in the BlueBellBeats Twilight Series was one of them, for sure. Starting with a burst of energy and madness by an amazing Dublin band - Slightly Disheveled and finishing with Bajzel’s one man orchestra magic that got the room jumping in the frenzy of sounds.

It was truly mesmerizing, the evening with SVIATYJ with his authenticity, power and magic. You could sense that something extraordinary was happening on our stage and it was taking over the whole room, embracing the audience with something more than just music and words, it was like travelling in space and time and exploring the essence of ones being, touching on the secret of the universe from a perspective of a human being lost at night in the magical forest of thoughts, dreams and fears.

NeuBrí afrobeats mashup coming to ThinkPunk Studios as part of BlueBellBeats Twilight Series.
This autumn we have a packed and diverse programme of music coming to ThinkPunk. It is now the time to announce the band we are really excited to see live as our BlueBellBeats Live opening act on the 17th September. NeuBrí is all about energy, fantastic craftsmanship of the notes and pure happiness on stage and dance floor. The name comes from the word New, and the Irish word ‘Brí’. It means new expression, new energy new vibes. The band loves afrobeats, RnB, hip hop and pop music. But truly whatever genre they play there is always a unique spin on it.
NeuBrí came about quite organically. Michael and Stephen both grew up in Clondalkin and had played with each other a few times before 2020 at church events. Stephen and Leslie met online and had a jam session in early 2020..
We all became closer in 2021 as we began to play with each other more at church gigs and held jam sessions. Our love of music and wanting to do more was often the topic of conversation on journeys home. None of us were thinking about forming a group yet. We kept jamming and as a result became closer.
A close friend was going to hold a birthday party and asked that we perform at it, taking popular afrobeat songs and playing along to them. We jumped at the idea and put together a list of songs that would fit. The friend didn’t end up having the birthday but we had already done so much work that we decided we would release it anyways. This was where NeuBrí was born.
We agreed on what the band would stand for and what we hoped to gain from it. From there we got everything in order for our first release.
Since we started this journey we have been very lucky to play with Irish acts that we do like their music and also headline with one of the biggest artists from nigeria ASAKE.
The year is set to be an amazing run of gigs, we can't wait to announce lots more dates we will be performing live.

SVIATYJ - will perform at ThinkPunk on 15th October as part of BlueBellBeats Twilight Series
Right there, where the folk meets the blues, where the shadow of old wooden orthodox churches meets voodoo rituals, right there stands Sviatyj. There is spirituality and madness, rhythm and words, there are folk songs understandable only at night and with an open heart.
It’s really exciting to share with you another piece of news about our BlueBellBeats Twilight Series. Another night was added with an amazing act connecting american blues with the sounds of Galicyan folk. Galicya is a region in Eastern Europe that comprises of parts of South East Poland and Western Ukraine. In those lands languages mix, cultures feed of each other, art connects and music carries the message of togetherness, melancholy and most of all - loss. Get ready for a feast, get ready for magic.
There is a metaphysical connection between Galicya and Arkansas, between the Bug River and the Delta of the Mississippi. Right there, where the folk meets the blues, where the shadow of old wooden orthodox churches meets voodoo rituals, right there stands SVIATYJ. There is spirituality and madness, rhythm and words, there are folk songs understandable only at night and with an open heart.

BRAZILIAN JAZZ coming to ThinkPunk as part of BlueBellBeats Twilight Series
We’re delighted to let you know that on the 1st of October our stage will be full of beautiful vibes with Kasia Eliasz and her 9 piece band! Get ready for the groove!
The good news keep coming, we have yet another exciting announcement for our BlueBellBeats Live Series! We’re delighted to let you know that on the 1st of October our stage will be full of beautiful vibes with Kasia Eliasz and her 9 piece band! Get ready for the groove!
Kasia Eliasz and 9-piece band
Kasia Eliasz Brazilian Jazz Quintet, Ta Tum Tum!, jazz harpist and a sax/flute player. And everything in one place at once! Extremely energetic, fun and musically rich group will be taking you for a journey to Brazil through samba, bossa nova and jazz! Her Brazilian Quintet will be joined by Ta Tum Tum! - a trio she created in 2022 which has been sold out during Cruinniu na nOg in Riverbank Arts Centre. With the Quintet she will be playing at 20th Bydgoszcz Jazz Festival ’22 in Poland.
Brazilian rhythms have its roots in Africa and are one of the most recognisable rhythms in the world. Samba is enacted most spectacularly in the Brazilian Carnaval celebrations, which have captured the global imagination in its pulsating rhythms, its decadent revelry, its extroverted performativity and its extravagant exhibitionism.
And this is what this 9-piece band is about! Sharing the most colourful and happy celebration in the world!
Kasia is a recipient of Music Bursary 2022 from Riverbank Arts Centre. Her artistic work has been also funded by the Arts Council, Kildare County Council, Creative Ireland and Department of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Gaeltacht, Sports & Media.
